Our Individual Biographies

The purpose of these biographies was two fold: 1) To keep cousins from drifting apart; 2) To identify us to distant relatives who may seek contact or renewed communication. The first has become somewhat unnecessary since most of the cousins have relocated quite closely together, but the second has netted some very interesting communications from distant relatives from North America and Scandinavia.

When this site was created in 1999, it was usually accessible only to interested related persons. However, the Internet Age has progressed to the point where security is a significant risk. Therefore, in order to remain secure and private in this age of Internet Exploitation, We have removed all biographs of living family members. Those remaining include Arlyn, Thelma and Howard. For Communication purposes, the bio of the Site Manager ias also been retained.

If you have video playing software, you could join us at a very interesting family reunion. The Dahlgren homestead in Stafford, built in 1889 and one of the first homes in the county, sheltered their family and many other immigrant arrivals in the 19th century in Roseau County. The day it was finally demolished in 1944, Cap Nelson filmed all of the Dahlgren siblings that had grown up there (In 8MM Color) while they shared their last tea party together. Even 2-year old David (the tow-head that Aunt Betty is tossing around during the family pose in front of the new autos) was there while his Dad was in WWII and his Mom was working at the bank.
