The history of this family web-site predates Twitter & Facebook. In fact, it pre-dates Google’s full skill-set. When we started this site in the ‘90s it was essentially private to family members, but now Google has made it visible to all. It was never meant to provide the communicational spontaneity of Facebook, but instead to provide a Legacy Storage area accessible to all. We hope that you also see its value in that regard.
This is a collection of hobby projects and travel from the extended Hagen family. We also briefly introduce ourselves and show you our connection to one another and to the projects and trips we’ve featured here. We encourage your participation, contribution and encouragement as we strive to optimize the value of our activities to one another.
The purpose of this web-site is two-fold: 1) To keep cousins from drifting apart; 2) To describe us to distant relatives who are seeking contact. The first has become somewhat unnecessary since most of the cousins have re-located quite closely together, but the second has netted a great share of interest from long-lost relatives from North America and Scandinavia!!!
Since Erin moved to California it’s been darn hard to get the group in the same room at one time for an updated photo. So we did the next best thing by sending a couple travelers out to capture her lounging in the Golden State.
To show what Dave’s been concentrating on since retirement, here’s a photo of a Northern Pike that he caught in NW Ontario in June ’12.
You can view a composition of all of Arlyn’s letters from the Front in WW2 to Thelma, interwoven with his full battle history from Army records. This is a powerful document :
