We have had a number of family gatherings on South Padre Island, Texas during the long winters and springs in Minnesota. Basically, we've enjoyed the quiet time on the beach, the lovely sunsets and the sunny weather. But, occasionally, we've had special events take place while we're there. We always had a great time there but lately have decided to seek other places at which to share a family adventure.
We still have fond memories of Padre, so if ever you're in the Valley (Rio Grande) or on the Island (SPI), give us a call and we'll buy you a drink. It'll have to be a Margarita, or course, made with Tequilla from the half-gallon jug with the worm in it. And, yeah, it'll have to be made with fresh limes that we can get there…15 for a dollar. At Gomez' fruit stand…on the way to the boat docks to get some fresh shrimp!! See You There!
In the last few years we've journeyed to other exotic places, but always with Padre in mind. Having done the Gulf of Mexico up well, we've also tried the beaches on the Atlantic, the Pacific and in the Carribean.
You can share some of our memories of these trips by moving on to these descriptive pages:
