The Final Dwelling!!

After Rebuilding their home in Minnesota and building from scratch a log cabin in the woods on a lake in Wisconsin, Patty & Dave have decided to settle into a dryer, warmer climate.

Unlike the last project where they did all of the work themselves (with a little help from family members), this time they’re taking a turn-key approach and buying an existing home, built in 2000, which is laid out on a lovely hillside with a great panoramic view of the mountains.

Stairways have become the largest architectural obstacle for Dave and this home had all that he needed. Not a single step from the street and the garage, and throughout the upper floor!! As a bonus, they have a full walk-out basement for family visitors as well as a lovely backyard with fountain, fireplace and outdoor kitchen! And Dave could certainly maneuver the stairs as needed, just not as a many-times-daily challenge.

Here’s a few photos of their new ‘digs’. The décor shown in these realtor’s photos had to go immediately, as did the Angel Fountain on top of the mailbox pillar.
