[Restored Ford]

[Ride!]

After completing my 1968 Corvette restoration, I went looking for my first car ever (a 1930 Model 'A' Ford, which I owned in 1959 and 1960, bought and sold for $25). To make a very long story short, in bidding for this car I ended up owning two of them when the dust settled!!

My White 'A' was purchased and picked up on Bird Wilson's trailer from it's seller in Clear Lake, WI. This made it fairly easy for me to do that transfer on one of my routine trips to the lake. But the second simultaneous purchase was a Black 'A' that was sitting in a pasture in Oklahoma. So Patty and I went there, rented a trailer and promptly hauled it up to Roseau to place it in the capable hands of Jon Hagen, my brother and chief family mechanic.

Jon and Bonnie decided that this would be his retirement project!! However, he needed (of course) to see if he could get the engine running now so that he'd be able to determine the full scope of his daunting mission. Well, that went so well that he couldn't keep his hands off of the project!

Jon is retired now and still optimizing his restoration, but his 1930 Classic Coupe with Rumble Seat is purring well, running fine and is the hit with all the friends and relatives who love the ol' AOOGAA car!!

Jon Has Already Won A Couple Best-In-Class Awards!!
