We enjoyed Disney, the Beach and the Water Park!!

After more than a dozen Spring Breaks on Padre Island we decided to diversify our vacations. So we took a whirl in Central Florida for our 2003 excape. Rather than fighting the crowds on the regular Spring Break from school we waited until the Fall Break and went to Orlando, Cocoa Beach and Anna Marie Key to see both beaches and Central Florida.

We got a chance to relax by the pool, walk on the beach and visit all of the major Disney Theme Parks. We brunched with Mickey and his friends, we rode on all the rides and we risked life and limb by diving into the water slides at the Water Mania Park.

Just like on Padre Island, we enjoying Florida's sunsets, margaritas and the tasty shrimp. We saw the Gulf of Mexico from the other side, the more tranquil side for sure. We also got a taste of the Atlantic just 3 hours away and were treated to the surf which reminded us a lot of the Padre beach experience.

Because Erin has settled into the California beach area, we'll probably arrange next year's beach trip to the Pacific Zone. That'll allow a much wider experience as we branch out following so many years of South Padre vacations.
