[Sleddin'!]

The Snow arrived just in time for this year's expedition and again we had the expert trail leadership of local woodsman Dave Mohr! Everyone rode safely again, but the crew is aging and Dave had to babysit more than usual this year. In addition to literally breaking trail with his bare hands, he also was called upon to: 1) Tow broken-down Arctic Cats, 2) Find local residents who would provide us tools, garages, rides and beer, 3) Replace broken equipment in his heated garage, and 4) Serve as group trail photographer. What'd we do without him???

Ruth Grubbe and her crew did a bang-up job again (In George & Ruth's Final Year) at the Village Inn (A Gracious Country Inn— except for the BJ week). They took excellent care of us again this year. She is so gracious and accommodating, and has always made our stay so special for each and every one of us. We were able to commerate Ruth's final season with a numbered piece of Orofors Crystal Glassworks.

The sledders that partook in the 2006 expedition (and their # of trips) were: John Pearson (32), Roy Bewick (31), Dave Hagen (29), Paul Bewick (26), Bill Schroeder (24), Tom Elmquist (24), Jim Alford (17), Tom Orne (15), Don Larson (12), Lee Branwall (8) and Barry Melchior (3)!

You'll notice in the Group Sled photo below that Tom Orne is seated proudly on a "Rent-To-Own" Yamaha, courtesy of the Schroeder ATV/Snowmobile Rental Agency. Look for Tom to emerge next year with the most Souped-Up Arctic Cat in the state of Wisconsin!!

The 33rd Is Already Planned for Tue-Sat Feb. 6-10, 2007!!

If you have a video playing software (Windows Media Player, etc)you could join us on a run through the woods here:
