Another Safe, Fun Outing Was Enjoyed By All!!!

A dozen sledders enjoyed another safe outing on the trails, in the woods and at the bar. In fact, since we switched from 151 proof to 80 proof Rum in the Hot Buttered Rums (in about 1984, Roy??), not one injury has been noted!.

Laurie Perkins and her crew from the Village Inn (A Gracious Country Inn—except for the BJ week) took care of us so well again this year. She stepped right into Ruth Grubbe's place after all these years.

Thanks, Ruth, for many years of great fun!!!

The sledders to partake in 2000 (and their # of trips) were: John Pearson (26), Roy Bewick (25), Dave Hagen (23), Paul Bewick (20), Bill Schroeder (18), Tom Elmquist (18), Jerry Keech (12), Jim Alford (12), Tom Orne (9), Don Larson (6), Lee Branwall (4), and Wayne Girard (3). A big thanks to Tom Elmquist for "being in charge" this year!

The 27th Is Already Planned for Tue-Sat Feb. 6-10, 2001!!

The sleds are getting so big and so fast (Tom O's Mountain Cat 1000, right), and we had so much fun on the trail (Jerry & Wayne in the snow, above) that we only managed a couple photos this year. So we will instead tell you our story below with photos from past trips:

Rocco didn't make it this year,

But Roy's always present!

Tom O. outdid himself again,

And Tom E's got a new sweater!

We stayed off the lake this year,

But kept the sleds race-ready!

We used to drive sleds like this,

And we still behave like this!
