[Excursion]

Ten descendents of the Larson immigrants of 1893 returned to their Föllinge,Sweden homestead in August 1999, met dozens of relatives and friends and attained a lifetime of family ties, ancestral links and feelings of fulfillment on behalf of Jonas & Ingeborg Larson, our common ancestors.

The travelers were Thelma Hagen, DeEtta and Ralph Pettyjohn, John Dahlgren, Isabel Brandt, Dave Hagen, Pat Hughes, Anne Campbell, Karen Brand and Nancy Brandt.

The relatives and friends that hosted us during this 'once in a lifetime' pilgrimage included Erik Staaf, Britta Staaf Forsberg, Camilla Persson, Lars-Erik & Kerstin Persson, Rose' & Einar Johansson, Gerda & Helge Staaf, Judy & Stig Olsson, Signild Andersson, Lars & Gullan Eliasson, Heimer Andersson, Jerker Engborg, Marianne Engborg, Ingeborg & Erik Olof Hedman, Kristina Hedman, Folke & Gertrud Wikström,Eva & Sture Olofsson, Jonas & Annette Gabrielsson, Tyra & Anders Olofsson, Siri Andersson, Thorbjörn Olofsson, Yngve Olofsson, Doris Olofsson, Ulla-Britt Englund, Mikael and Annelie Englund, Peter Englund, Panny Englund, Gabriella J. Englund, Oliver O. Englund, Carola Englund, Fredrik Ottosson, Kristina Ottosson, Johanna Ottosson, Gunnar-Erik Gabrielsson, Tore Gabrielsson, Alva Gabrielsson, Vidar Olofsson, Ingmari Olofsson, Marie Risberg, Emma Risberg, Ingre Sjögren, Olla Olofsson Vallrun, Ruth Lundström, Karin Olofsson, Turbjörn and Siv Olofsson. Our appologies to those whose names we omitted or misunderstood. The greeting and hospitality at the Skärvången church was absolutely overwhelming.

In addition to our own photographic memories, we were given photographs, recipes, books, family history charts and continual knowledge of how our ancestors and their local descendents lived and prospered in this fabulous land.
