Photos taken during second Chippewa Leg, Durant to Ella

After a wonderful dinner the night before at the Harbor View Café and a peaceful night’s lodging (at the Harbor Inn B&B) to rest our weary bones from the previous day’s paddle, we set out on the 2nd of two back-to-back legs at Durand. Norma, Patty, Tom and Dave followed the next Chippewa River section on a lovely sunny day. Except for a constant head wind, we had a relatively easy cruise along with the countless eagles that were soaring overhead. We’ve never seen another canoe on all the legs we’ve done and this section was no exception.
