Dave was very appreciative of all his old cronies who attended his retirement celebrations. Extra-special appreciation goes to all of those brave souls who avoided embarrassing him by keeping mum on what they really knew and instead invented kind stories that made the audience feel comfortable with the proceedings.

The speakers at the ‘official’ ceremony at the 3M center included Lowell Crable (MC), Tom Laurion, Bob Nelson, Tom Simpson, Jerry McAllister, Chuck Harstad, Art Fry and Andy Rolling. In addition, it was extremely thoughtful of Rick Rolando, Jan Ockeloen, Ward Petrich, Gary Anderson and Bruce Thalacker (Host) to offer kind words of support at an earlier Tape Group affair at the Lexington. We held no ceremony at the home celebration, therefore all attendees could speak at will (and did!).

A very special thanks to Shirley Holbrook for arranging the ‘official’ event.
