[Relax!] [Explore!]

The Tamskys (Marilyn & Morgan) and the Hagens (Patty & Dave) had an exciting & educational adventure exploring Scotland in a rental car while visiting B&B's and quaint hotels in the fall of 2006! It was a great opportunity to bond amongst themselves as well as with the friendly & hospitable people of Scotland and their rich history!!

Because Morgan is so forward and outgoing, and because the other 3 of us are so curious but shy, we were able to search out and learn a tremendous amount about Scottish history, places, scenery and people. Never in our wildest dreams did we expect to find such a concentration of significant contributions to humanity and science in many fields that ranged from economics & science to religion & government!

We picked strategic locations to dwell for 2-3 days at a time and made daily excursions from there. Our first priority, of course, was the distilleries—from which we sampled a good number of excellent Single-Malts. Our second priority was to see as many of the remarkable scenic and regal settings that we'd heard so much about. But, in the midst of that, we were simply overwhelmed by the sincerity, the modesty and the helpfulness of the average resident that we just happened upon on our journeys!!!
